Welcome to the Hale Mahina Resort on the west side of Maui. Hale Mahina is a small complex with four stories and 52 units of ocean front living. Most units are individually owned and operated. The purpose of this web site is for individual owners to promote their respective units and to communicate with each other. Visitors who are curious to learn more about Hale Mahina can use the Contact Us Page to reach out to us.
Hale Mahina is a special place where family and friends love to gather. However, please be aware that the booking of large groups and multiple units is discouraged in an effort to preserve the ambiance and amenities for all guests staying at the resort. We kindly request that when making your reservation if you are booking as a group, that your party does not exceed more than 12 persons and no more than 3 separate units are booked for the same time period. Mahalo.
There is no central reservation portal or phone number for the units at Hale Mahina but links to other web sites containing specific information on available rentals are given.
Many visitors are asking about the condition of the beach at Hale Mahina. This year, the beach erosion has been some of the worst we’ve ever seen. The beach has eroded so much, there are many times where there is a 3-5 foot drop from the last step of the stairway to the sand. Some people may not be able to access the beach or ocean under these conditions. Many times in the past, the beach and sand have returned (see the photos page for what the sand has looked like in recent years) and we are hoping for the same result in 2023. Check the live webcam page at low tide to see the beach condition. If large rocks are visible on the left side of the beach, it means the beach may not be easily accessible. Check with the owner of your rental unit to get more up-to-date information if beach access from Hale Mahina is important to you.
